The eIDAS regulation

To meet the new expectations, the European Union wanted to provide a regulatory framework by laying the foundations for digital trust with the eIDAS (electronic IDentification, Authentication and trust Services) regulation. It covers electronic identification and authentication on the one hand and digital trust services on the other hand.
