Terms of sale

The Universign services are offered by the company Cryptolog International SAS with capital of €508,932, having its principal place of business at 7 rue du Faubourg Poissonnière 75009 Paris, registered with the Registry of Commerce and Companies of Paris under the number 439 129 164, with the VAT number FR 46 439 129 164, hereinafter referred to as “Universign”.

General provisions relating to the terms os sale conditions Herein


The buyer declares that they have read the Terms of Sale (hereinafter referred to as the “TOS”) before confirming their order and that they accept them without reservation by ticking the boxes provided for this purpose.


These Terms Of Sale establish the contractual terms and conditions exclusively applicable to all purchases of services carried out on the website www.universign.com.

Universign reserves the right to amend the Terms of Sale at any time. In this case, the TOS applicable shall be those in force on the date the order was made by the buyer.


The TOS apply exclusively to the online sales of Universign services to buyers and constitute, with the order summary, the contractual documents binding upon the parties, excluding all other documents, prospectuses or services catalogues which are for reference only.


The TOS are available to buyers on the website www.universign.com where they can be consulted directly.


The nullity of one or several of the contractual clause(s) shall not lead to the TOS being nullified.

The non-application of one or several of the TOS clauses either temporarily or permanently shall not be deemed to be a waiver by the party concerned of the other TOS clauses, which shall continue to have effect.

Characteristics of Universign’s Services

The services offered are those detailed in the catalogue published on the site www.universign.com.

The conditions for using the services sold on the website www.universign.com and Universign’s guarantees and responsibilities relating to those services are provided for in the Terms of Use (TOU) available on Universign website.



The sales prices are listed, for each of the services detailed on the site www.universign.com, in Euros and excluding tax.

VAT is applicable in accordance with European regulations.

The prices indicated include the costs for processing orders.

The total amount due by the buyer is indicated on the order confirmation page.


Universign reserves the right to modify the prices at any time, while guaranteeing that the buyer will be charged the price in force on the day of their order.


Online sales orders are valid, unless a specific period is indicated, for as long as the services are listed on Universign website.

The offer acceptance is validated after the order has been verified and confirmed by the buyer.


A buyer wishing to order a service must:

  • complete the registration form, ensuring they fill in the mandatory fields required to create an account, or to connect to the website universign.com using their ID.
  • complete the online order form with the exact reference numbers of the services chosen.
  • validate the order after checking it.
  • accept the TOS herein – this acceptance entails the waiver of their own terms of purchase or other terms and conditions. All of the data provided and the confirmation registered by Universign shall constitute evidences of the transaction.
  • make the payment under the terms provided for.

Universign will send electronic confirmation via email of the received order.


Payment is made using a bank card via a system which ensures that the information sent is secure.

The buyer is credited with the services after the payment has been validated.

On receipt of payment, an invoice corresponding to the order made shall be available in his Universign account.


Universign undertakes to provide the services pursuant to the description provided on the website www.universign.com and in accordance with the terms provided for by the service TOU.

Right of Withdrawal

The nature of the service means that its performance starts when the order is paid for, which the buyer acknowledges and accepts.

Consequently, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised.


In the online sales process, Universign is bound by an obligation of means.

Universign cannot be held liable for any damages resulting from the use of the internet such as a loss of data, intrusion, virus, interruption of service or any other involuntary problems.

In any circumstances, Universign’s liability, in the case of damages to the buyer, for any reason whatsoever and irrespective of the legal basis invoked or held, all damages combined and cumulative, shall be expressly limited to the amount received by Universign for the disputed order.

Intellectual Property

All elements of the website www.universign.com and Universign services are and shall remain the exclusive  property of Universign. Any total or partial reproduction and/or representation of one of these elements, without express authorisation from Universign, is forbidden and would constitute an infringement punishable under the French Intellectual Property Code.

Personal Data

Universign processes buyers’ personal data for the principle purpose of carrying out the sales process  and does so in strict compliance with Law No 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, files and freedoms called the “Loi Informatique et Libertés” (the “French Data Protection Act”) and in accordance with its Personal Data Protection Policy, available on its website.

Retention - Evidences

Universign retains the order summary and invoices on a sustainable tool which constitutes a reliable copy.

Universign log and audit trails shall be considered by buyers as evidence of the communications, orders, payments and transactions  between them and Universign.

Applicable Law - Dispute Settlement

These online Terms of Sale are subject to French law. Only the French version of this document is binding upon the parties, even if translations exist, by the express agreement that these are provided purely for convenience and cannot have any legal effect, specifically with regard to the interpretation of the contract or the joint intention of the parties.

All dispute arising in connection with the present TOS shall be finally settled by the Paris Court of Commerce, notwithstanding multiple defendants or a third-party claim, even for urgent or preventive measures.
